The 无码人妻 School of Medicine Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship (MSM CAP)
is rooted in our over-arching institutional mission of leading in the creation and
advancement of health equity. As psychiatric physicians, we believe that there is
no better place to start than the mental health of children and families. With cultural
and structural humility informing each educational experience, this program is intentionally
designed to not only educate and train excellent child and adolescent clinicians but
to also inspire and equip effective physician leaders and advocates.
This CAP fellowship is history-making as the first ever at an HBCU medical school.
While the fellowship here is still relatively new, the clinical rotations and learning
experiences draw from strategic partnerships with distinguished clinicians and well-established
institutions throughout our community. These institutions include the Georgia Department
of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), CHRIS 180, Devereux Advanced
Behavioral Health, Hillside Hospital, Children鈥檚 Healthcare of Atlanta, and many others.
Dr. Sarah Vinson, the inaugural program director, worked to design the fellowship
program from the ground up in 2018. This allowed her to build a program with the
current opportunities, challenges, and trends of our field in mind. Under her leadership,
the fellowship program received full accreditation from the Accreditation Council
of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We graduated our first class of fellows in
June 2022.
The fellowship program has enthusiastic faculty with robust and diverse experiences
including a child and adolescent psychiatrist who is a teaching psychoanalyst, attorneys
and faculty from Emory School of Law, psychologists and social workers, child and
adolescent forensic mental health experts, and MSM clinicians and researchers with
appointments in four different academic departments. We are very proud of our faculty
and their accomplishments, and we are very appreciative of the expertise that they
bring to their teaching and mentorship.
While there will be plenty of work to do, where you live matters, too. Atlanta is
steeped in rich cultural history. As an undisputed regional hub, Atlanta boasts the
world鈥檚 busiest airport, one of the liveliest MLS stadiums in the country, three professional
sports teams, a revitalized downtown, a burgeoning tech scene, a steady stream of
cultural experiences, and a cost of living that allows for a nice life on your fellowship
salary.
Please look around our website to learn more. We welcome your questions. I look
forward to meeting you during interview season.
Warm regards,
Danae Evans, M.D.
